Having lived in Edmonton for 74 years means that Gene is an Edmontonian through and through. He loves the historic connections he has to the city and has watched it grow into the vibrant community it is today. When he is not working, this seasoned architect is spending his time drawing – and is clearly coming up with fantastic ideas!

His idea, Container City, was developed to make downtown more interesting in a manner that reflects Edmonton’s values of inclusivity, high-quality local design, and innovation. Made up of 100 shipping containers, this space will be used to support local talent, artists, and host multicultural events in order to foster a welcoming Edmonton community.
