Carla has lived in Edmonton her entire life and Elyse emigrated from England in 2011. While these two have very different professions and backgrounds, they both feel Edmonton is a great place to live and play. Carla is a banker proudly working for TD Canada Trust, and Elyse is a butcher, baker, and gin & tonic maker. While their professions differ, their love for the community is the same and they both feel that Edmonton is incredibly friendly, hardworking, and inclusive.
Carla and Elyse want to repurpose one of Edmonton’s most notable landmarks, the Rossdale Power Plant, and turn it into a place that hosts flexi-spaces. Carla and Elyse were inspired by spaces in Las Vegas and thought that The Edmonton Project would be the perfect opportunity to express their idea for innovative retail spaces that would embody the best of the farmers’ markets, start up spaces, and neighborhood gathering places.
